A SAS HBA with 8 external ports, the HP SC08Ge Host Bus Adapter (HBA) offers customers the flexibility and speed they've come to expect from HP. With a maximum bandwidth of 2.4 Gb/s and roughly four times the speed of dual channel U320 SCSI adapters, the SC08Ge HBA supports both 3 GB SAS and 1.5 GB SATA devices and has been designed for connection to the SAS-based HP StorageWorks 2000sa Modular Smart Array controller. Many HP Proliant servers have the HP SC08Ge HBA installed and have undergone extensive testing.
